The only source of a human blood is from an another human being, there is no way or alternative technology to produce human blood. Everyday an adequate amount of blood is needed in all health care institution's to meet the requirement of their patients in emergency situations like accidents, natural disaster's and other medical emergencies.
The government of India conducts events such as the Raktdaan Amrit Mahotsav and encourages voluntary donations, while promoting World Blood Donor Day (June 14) and National Voluntary Blood Donation Day (October 01) to raise public consciousness and achieve self-sufficiency in blood supply.
Today public awareness is noticed for blood donation. NGOs, College's, social workers, clubs and many, organize blood donation camps on different occasions. Knowing the importance of blood donation Arul Foundation members voluntarily join the camps and donate blood to enrich the capacity of blood banks.
